(1) "Nuisance wild animal" means a wild animal that interferes with the use or enjoyment of property, is causing a threat to public safety, or may cause damage or harm to a structure, property, or person.

Properly licensed hunters may use an air rifle to shoot rabbits, squirrels, grouse, ground hogs, raccoons, skunks, opossums, pheasants, and crows.

Nuisance groundhogs can be live-trapped and relocated with permission of the landowner. If you choose not to relocate the groundhog, they can either be released on-site where the animal was originally trapped or you may humanely kill it. Refer to the American Veterinary Medical Association for guidelines on euthanasia.

Foxes will not respond to repellents, strobe lights, music, mothballs, or ammonia. The best way to remove foxes is by using live traps, snares, or paw holds. There are no repellants available on the market that will deter foxes from living on a property.
